As case handler, engaged in anti-dumping and subsidy investigations, participated in public hearings, and managed critical stages of investigations.
Turkey’s Permanent Representation to the EU, Brussels
January 2009– January 2013
in Brussels, dealt with trade remedy issues between EU and Turkey, participated in hearings and trade negotiations.
October 2013 – September 2014
Participated in many investigations as a “Member of the Committee for the
Prevention of Unfair Competition in Imports” at the DG Imports. I have also served as the chair for public hearings sessions.
I participated as an senior expert in the anti-circumvention investigation concerning artificial leather imports from Bulgaria and North Macedonia. Additionally, I was involved in the investigation on the circumvention of solar panel measures covering imports from Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Croatia, and Jordan.
February 2024-
Representing different interested parties in various ongoing trade remedy cases including 5 user associations in Colled Rolled Flat Steel AD Investigation.
Key Achievements
Contributed to numerous investigations as case handler and Head of Department protecting local producers from unfair competition.
Actively participated in WTO Negotiations on Anti-Dumping Agreements and Committee Meetings in Geneva. Conducted and coordinated training programs on Turkey’s anti-dumping and subsidy measures.
Worked with the EU’s Directorate-General for Trade to adapt EU-developed software (SHERPA, SHERLOCK, and OAYSIS) for use in Turkey, improving the Ministry’s anti-dumping investigative capabilities.
Organized a seminar to raise awareness of subsidy investigations and played a key role in training programs in cooperation with US authorities (USDOC).
